Michael Buble's "Crazy Love:"
Wow I love this album! It's secular, but safe from the perversion often featured in today's love songs. It's a super sensory trip down memory lane, featuring many songs you've heard on movies, such as "All of Me" plus other classics.
From the rousing instrumental introduction of "Cry Me A River" (that reminds me of something you'd hear in a Broadway musical) to the many other memorable love songs of days gone by, this album is a winner.
How refreshing to find a new album that features wonderful renditions of some of the best love classics of the past. It's hard nowadays to find love songs that don't feature embarrassingly intimate references. But Buble and his backup band, with his wonderful voice smooth as butter, brings us songs to relax and cuddle to that aren't embarassing.
His voice makes me think of Billy Joel sometimes, a great crooner at others. The background music is perfectly suited to each song, some of which have a "big band" feel worthy of swing dancing to.All renditions are at least as good as the originals they're based on, if not better.
I'm so glad One2One Network honored me with the chance to review this gem!
